Just like the name “染魔 (Soma),” my work aims to slowly color the world around me with Soma’s hues, as if through a subtle magic.
Through characters that are strange, whimsical, yet undeniably captivating, I want to offer viewers small shocks and moments of delight at the same time.
"Until we love animals, a part of our soul remains asleep."
— Anatole France
I believe, just like this quote, that emotions awaken through relationships with someone or something. My work has always begun from a place of affection and warmth toward existence, and I hope these feelings naturally seep into my creations.
Street culture has long been a passion of mine. The freedom, attitude, mood, and distinctive fashion embedded in it continuously influence my characters and worldbuilding.
Furthermore, the sensibilities of subcultures, cherished around the world for decades—their unique perspectives and energy—are elements I reinterpret in my own way, embedding them into my work.
